During his lifetime, Dr. Feldenkrais trained just under 300 practitioners. Some of these practitioners continue to practice his Method and train other Feldenkrais Practitioners. Others went on to evolve Dr. Feldenkrais’ seminal work into their own independent methods.
In 1977, the Feldenkrais Guild was established as the professional organization of teachers and practitioners of the Method of Dr. Feldenkrais. In 1997, they changed their name to Feldenkrais Guild of North America (FGNA).
International Feldenkrais Federation
In 1992, the International Feldenkrais Federation (IFF) was founded in Paris, France. IFF is:
“the coordinating organisation of most Feldenkrais Guilds and Associations and other key Feldenkrais professional organisations worldwide.”
Dr. Feldenkrais’ work continues to impact the world through a host of different fields and disciplines such as rehabilitation, sports training, yoga, techniques for pain relief, work with children with special needs, and more.
